Great guessed on how long my plane ride was it was actually 14 hours!

My plane arrived in the country of Kenya, Can you find it on a map? There are a lot of countries in Africa. I hope to visit a few. How many countries do you think there are?

It is really hot in Africa because it is located on the equator. Can you find the equator on the globe?

I'm Gone to Africa!

HELLO my grade 1/2 Friends!

I have missed you! I am so excited to tell you that while I have been away from you I went on a long plane ride and have arrived in the Continent of Africa!  Can you find it on the globe? What do you already know about Africa? I wonder if you could make me a web of somethings you already know and somethings you would like to learn about.

While I am here I hope to travel on some safari's to see the amazing animals and eat some African food! You would not believe what the villages look like here. Based on what you already know about Africa what do you think their house look like? Draw a pictures and write 2 sentences to describe your guess, then share them while me here!!!!

I'll give you a hint... they are totally different from your house in Canada.
